Easy to mix but very thick

I wanted to fill splits in my house's solid plank cedar exterior walls (behind the lath and plaster in a room I am renovating). I filled them with WoodEpox and the product behaves as described. My issue is that it is difficult to know how deep I was able to fill the cracks. I mixed the second and third batches with gradually increasing portions of LiquidWood and it helped make the WoodEpox less stiff. Still, it is hard to say how deep I was able to fill the splits. From the answers on Abatron's FAQs, I knew I could mix LiquidWood into WoodEpox but I was hesitant to put too much out of fear of weakening the end product. What would have helped is to know how much I could cut the WoodEpox with LiquidWood.
