Gum Arabic is specially used to create decorative cracks under milk or acrylic paints.

Gum Arabic is also used in the preparation of traditional glues and paints. Gum Arabic is a good thickener for gouaches and is the best fixative for oil or dry pastel.

Directions of use

Preparation : The surface to crack needs to be dry and dust free. Mix 1 part of Gum Arabic with 1 part of tepid water. Mix well until obtaining a golden liquid.

To obtain a superior quality medium that will conserve longer, mix an equal part of fish glue into the liquid preparation.

Application : Apply before the last coat of paint to make it crack.
