Madder is a vegetable pigment used in the coloration of wood. Madder is soluble in alcohol and also in vegetable and mineral essences.

Madder will produce a red color. Once prepared, Madder can be used in waxes or drying oils. Madder can be used with other vegetable pigments or with a mordant.

Directions of use

Preparation : Infuse 100 g of Madder in 1 liter of denatured alcohol.
