Idrofire

The fireproof varnish Idrofire is a two component polyurethane aliphatic water based varnish for the fireproof treatment of floors and other massive wood surfaces.

Easy to mix and to apply, the fireproof varnish offer an excellent resistance to abrasion, scratches and chemicals.

It’s recommended for floors exposed to heavy traffic. The fireproof varnish doesn’t yellow.

The fireproof varnish Idrofire has to be mixed with the hardener Idro2.

Directions of use

Preparation : Sand the floor and dust off well.

Mix the Idrofire to dissolve any deposit that could have formed in the bottom. Add the hardener Idro2 to the Idrofire in the exact proportion (20%) and mix well.

Wait 15 minutes before applying.

Application : The application is made with a roller. Apply 3 coats of Idrofire and sand between every coat.

Apply a first coat of Idrofire.

The next day, sand with a 180 grit paper and apply a second coat.

The day after, sand again and apply the last coat.

It’s important to respect the covering ratio of 100 sq ft per liter of varnish to have the fireproof effect.
