Siam Benzoin or Laos benzoin is a resin used in the preparation of varnish for violin makers. Siam Benzoin can be used diluted with denatured alcohol or in a preparation with other resins or gums.

Siam Benzoin is a plasticizer that produces hard and shiny varnishes. Siam Benzoin can be added to other resins or gums, it has a really good smell and is antiseptic, fungicide and antioxidant.
