Board Cream

John Boos Board Cream is a cream that was specifically designed to protect countertops, cutting boards, butcher's blocks and other wooden food preparation surfaces. It enhances wood's natural appearance and color and will make any wood surface more durable.

The Board Cream formula, made from a mix of mineral oil and beeswax, deeply penetrates the wood grain and forms a fine film which will keep moisture inside the wood and protect its surface at the same time.

Using this Board Cream regularly will allow to recreate the natural moisture of your wood block after repeated cleanings, preventing it from drying out, cracking or losing its color. This treatment is durable and requires less frequent applications than regular mineral oil treatments. This Board Cream can be applied on any essence of wood.

How to use

Apply the cream evenly across the surface with either a clean disposable towel or your hand. Let the product impregnate the wood for 10 minutes, and then wipe off any excess oil from the surface. If you have a reversible surface, repeat the process on the other side. For best results, let the cream soak into the wood overnight, then remove excess with a paper towel.

If your surface is used heavily on a daily basis, repeat this process every week. For moderate use, repeat the process every 4 to 6 weeks.
