Recochem Pure Turpentine is a natural, vegetable based thinner and cleaner available for oil based paints, waxes, varnishes, wood stains and oil finishes. It can also be used to dissolve resins such as Dammar Gum and Rosin (Pine Resin). It allows to optimize drying time in order to achieve a smooth, even finish, as well as to protect brushes with natural bristles, which are fragile and costly.

As opposed to other paint thinners made from petroleum distillates, which evaporate quickly, often causing filming on colour in fine art painting and uneven coverage if used as a thinner for house paint, Turpentine’s slow evaporation rate creates a gradual drying time and makes for an excellent thinner for special art finishes and artists’ oil paints.
