BIN Primer-Sealer Stain Killer Spray by Zinsser

Discontinued

BIN Primer-Sealer Stain Killer Spray is a shellac base flat white undercoat for almost all surfaces, under any paint.

BIN Primer-Sealer hides stains, seals porous surfaces, ensures adhesion to hard-to-stock surfaces. It can be used under any paint - aerosol or liquid, oil or water base.

BIN is perfect to hide and seal knots, sap streaks, greasy spots, fire, smoke, water and dark colours. It allows sealing of porous wood and spackled areas, increases adhesion to ceramic tile, glass, metal, plastic and hardboard, and allows you to paint hard-to-paint objects, such as picture frames, stools, benches, arts and crafts, wrought iron, wicker and louvers.

How to Use

Preparation: Remove loose paint and sand edges smooth. Apply to clean, dry, sound surfaces absent of any contamination that may interfere with adhesion. Mask off areas not intended for priming.

Application:

  • Use product at room temperature (21 degrees Celcius) in a well ventilated area - avoid high humidity.
  • Shake can vigorously until ball inside can rattles. Turn can upside down and continue shaking for one minute - shake occasionally during use.
  • Test to determine touch and spray pattern. Spray 25-30 cm (10-12 in.) from object. Depress valve completely and apply with short "dusting" strokes.
  • Surface may be painted in 30 minutes.
  • If nozzle clogs, twist off and clean tip with pin. Do not stick pin or other object into can. Replace nozzle with valve opening pointed away from you. To clear spray for future use, turn can upside down and spray until clear gas is emitted.
