White stain on deck after dog urine—grey color gone despite Lifetime treatment: what to do?

No worries—this kind of issue can happen with some pets. The most important thing is not to use household cleaning products.

The solution is simple: mix a bit of dish soap with warm water. Using a scrubbing brush, gently clean the affected area with the soapy solution. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and let it dry for a few hours. Once the surface is fully dry, reapply Lifetime to the area—and time will take care of the rest.

Other things can cause stains on wood treated with Lifetime as well—for example, if leaves sit on the surface for several weeks in the fall. In that case, the same cleaning method will help restore the original grey color once rinsed and followed by a fresh coat of Lifetime.

Don't worry—these situations usually occur when Lifetime has just been applied for the first time.
