To remove marks caused by a clamp or another tool that damaged the wood surface in a project, you can follow these steps:
- Dampen a white cloth or a paper towel folded 4 times with water.
- Apply the damp cloth or paper towel to the mark you wish to remove.
- Take a very hot iron and pass it over the cloth or paper several times.
- The heat and steam produced by the iron will raise the wood fibers, causing the mark to disappear instantly.
- If the mark is severe, repeat the process as needed.
Finally, even out the surface by sanding the wood.
