I have cherry colored oak cabinets I’d like to refinish with a lighter color. I’d prefer a water based finish over top of the existing finish. Either very light or very dark. What are my options?

Going lighter might not be an option if you do not wish to strip and sand off old finish.

What is the existing finish? Can you send us a picture?
