Surface Preparation:
- Surface should be free of all dirt, dust, grease and other surface contaminates. All loose, cracked and flaking paint should be removed by scraping and sanding. Any glossy surfaces should be sanded to a dull finish to allow proper adhesion of the new coat of paint. Bare areas can be spot primed with this paint.
- Metal Surfaces: Metal surfaces should be primed with a metal primer.
Application:
- Stir thoroughly before and during use. When more than one container of the same colour is to be used they should be mixed together before starting.
- Old Village Buttermilk Paint may be applied by brush, roller or spray equipment.
- Apply liberally when the air temperature is between 10°C and 32°C (50°F-90°F).
- Thinning should not be necessary, but if needed use only a little water.
- Tools may be cleaned with soap and water. Dries to the touch in 2 hours; may be recoated after 4 hours.
