Wax finishes are particularly ideal for antique or reproduction furniture. However, to avoid damage to the finish, it is important to use coasters or placemats on horizontal surfaces like tables or buffets. Finally, to keep waxed surfaces in top condition, it is necessary to apply one to two coats of wax annually.
