SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
New Wood:
- Remove dirt, grease, glue or other contaminants.
- Ideal substrate moisture content is 7-9%.
- Sand wood with 100/150 grit sandpaper.
Old Wood:
- Strip old finishes completely and remove all surface contaminants.
- Make sure surface is dry, sand as required, then follow new wood instructions.
MIXING
- Mix material thoroughly by hand BEFORE and DURING use for even distribution of ingredients.
- Add WB0113 Stain Glaze Base to any Goudey WB series wiping stains to adjust colour depth without changing the stains viscosity then mix them properly.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT: The customer is responsible for following the recommended application procedures. Failure to do so will likely result in unsatisfactory product performance. Always test the complete coating system prior to the start up of production.
- Apply product directly as a wood conditioner or as a blend with WB series wiping stains by wiping or brushing. NOTE: A consequence to utilize as a wood conditioner is that the stain colour will be lightened.
- Let sit 1-3 minutes.
- Wipe away the excess with a soft clean cloth within 5 minutes.
- Allow the stain to dry thoroughly before applying a clear finish (usually 30-60 minutes).
- Topcoat with an approved Goudey finish system or sealer, such as the Propoly polyurethane finish
PRECAUTIONS
Goudey WB0113 is non-flammable as regular water-based products. These lacquers are supplied in lined containers that must be plastic.
Clean Up

Clean out with soapy water when wet and with Goudey 783 solvent when dried.
Care and cleaning of this finish

Use a mild dishwashing liquid and a damp cloth to remove food, grease, and other residue. Wipe dry. Do not use cleaners that contain ammonia, bleach, or abrasives as this may damage the finish.
