Brio Zero is an oil emulsion for walls, ceilings, structures and other wooden surfaces finishing. In one single application, Brio Zero colors, seals and waterproofs wood without masking its details.

Brio Zero is also available in 20 ml sample size so you can test the color and finish on a piece of wood before beginning work on a large scale, while minimizing transportation costs. (Flat shipping rate of $3.95 per order, shipped with Canada Post Lettermail).

Samples are not available during months when the temperature is too cold because they would be damaged by freezing during shipping.

Colours can be mixed to create unique shades.

For a slightly deeper colour, apply a second coat after 6 to 18 hours.

For a lighter colour, mix with Brio Zero Colourless.

The colour 100 – Colourless provides a wet finish and highlights the wood grain.

The colour 101 – Natural has a slightly whitened appearance. It helps maintain the whiteness of white woods (pine, maple, cherry, spruce, beech, aspen, etc.). It is strongly recommended to perform a test beforehand on open-grain and coloured woods (oak, walnut, mahogany, elm, etc.).

Directions for use

Preparation:

Stir well with a stick before and while using. Apply at temperatures above 10 °C. Wood must be sanded with 150 grit sandpaper and vacuumed to remove any dust. Prior to application on maple wood, wet the wood, let dry 2 hours and sand lightly with a 220 grit sandpaper

Application:

Apply with a Polywool Floor Applicator, a stain pad or a paintbrush.

Number of coats:

1 coat

For interior windows, it is strongly recommended to apply 1 coat of Brio Zero colorless over the colored coat.

For a more intense color, it is possible to apply a second coat after 6 hours. However, if more than 24 hours have passed since the first application, sand the surface with a 150 grit sandpaper before applying the second coat.

Is it possible to apply Brio Zero on regular Brio?

It is possible to apply Brio Zero on regular Brio due to its good adhesion properties. However, it is important to note that the colors of the two products are different, even though they have the same name. The shades of Brio Zero are more intense. If one needs to apply Brio Zero on regular Brio, it is imperative to ensure that the surface to be treated is clean, without the need for sanding. Several layers of Brio Zero will achieve a more intense color. It is recommended to test in a less visible area before proceeding with the application.
