What are the advantages of using a floor buffer and pad to polish a floor oil? Will it make the finish more resistant?
Polishing the oil after it has been applied and dried will not affect the appearance or durability of the oil. Generally, the use of a buffer is reserved for professionals who use it more for oil application than polishing. While using a buffer can save time and make a more economical use of the product, the benefits are limited. It may be useful for large areas to be oiled, but manual oil application by hand gives equally beautiful results as with a floor buffer, although it requires more time and effort.
