Hi,

Solid walnut bedframe looks sun-kissed and dry. I believe the original finish contained some poly in the mix and was suggested Minwax Wipe-On Poly to spruce it up. Are there more natural, low-no VOC alternatives I can use, without sanding the whole piece? Goal is to maintain the natural beauty and colour of the walnut.

Merci!

Hi,

We would recommend using the Natural Wood Oil and Wood Wax Finish by Caron & Doucet.

A 100% plant base wood conditioner which will bring back the natural beauty of your wood.

Kind Regards,

Thanks for the suggestion! It mentions for use on raw wood, so will the combo penetrate and look flawless on an already finished surface containing poly?

Sorry,

I did not read properly. In that case you should only use the Natural Wood Wax Finish. That will replenish your wood even if there is a finish already on it.

Thank you, Marilyn! Might you be able to recommend a variety of options to consider? (Low-no VOC is not critical.) A clear matte or satin look is the goal.

The Finish-Up by Mohawk would be another option.
