Ecopoxy FlowCast SPR is a two-component casting epoxy formulated for weekend woodworking projects. When used at one inch thickness, the maximum volume, and under the recommended conditions, you can expect your projects to cure within 1 day*.

Use FlowCast SPR epoxy by itself for a water-clear finish or add liquid or metallic pigments to create custom colors and effects. FlowCast SPR can be used to create beautiful small scale live edge wood projects, such as coasters and serving trays. For larger projects, such as river tables, use our deep cast resin, FlowCast.

FlowCast SPR can be worked (trimmed, routed, sanded, and finished) using the same tools you have in your woodshop. With their ever-growing line of pigments and accessories, Ecopoxy can support you with everything you need for your small-scale epoxy projects.

  • Perfect for small project pours: 1/4"-1" thick per layer
  • Ideal for Weekend projects: Formulated for easy pours and faster cures
  • Goodbye Bubbles: Low viscosity results in excellent air release
  • Hello Clarity: Cures with water-like transparency
  • User Friendly: Can be worked with common woodworking tools

*See Technical Data Sheet for detailed application instructions

FlowCast SPR kits contain 2 parts resin and 1 part hardener. e.g. the 6 L kit contains 4 L resin and 2 L hardener.

Directions for use

Mixing Instructions

In a clean, dry container combine (by volume) 2 parts resin with 1 part hardener, and mix thoroughly for 4-5 minutes. Add color or metallic pigments as desired and mix until evenly dispersed.

Application instructions

Working area should be clean, dry and free of dust. FlowCast SPR can be poured at 6-25mm (1/4" to 1") per layer. However, it may slowly fill cracks and voids in live edge wood pieces, causing the resin level to drop. Be prepared to add more epoxy as multiple thinner pours may be necessary to prevent overheating. Fans blowing across the curing epoxy may also be used to help dissipate heat. For best adhesion between layers, wait until the first layer is fully set to touch. Sand with 220 grit sandpaper and wipe down before pouring another layer. See FlowCast SPR Application Guide for more details.

FAQ

How to prevent pigment sedimentation in FlowCast epoxy?

When using a filling epoxy like FlowCast, it is very fluid and takes about 48 hours to cure in the mold. During this period, the Metallic Pigments you added to your mixture may settle at the bottom of the mold.

However, before the epoxy starts to harden (around 24 hours), you can easily stir gently with a small stick to restore the desired effects. You can also gently agitate to create effects until the epoxy starts to cure.

Is it possible to pour Flowcast epoxy on UVPoxy?

Absolutely, as long as your UVPoxy is fully cured. You just need to lightly sand it with 220 grit sandpaper and clean the dust thoroughly. After that, you can pour your Flowcast Epoxy without any problems. The reverse scenario is also possible.

The only issue I have with it is the safety lid is very hard to remove. I squished the bottle removing the first time.
