EcoPoxy FlowCast® Casting Epoxy is ideal for woodworking such as river tables, ocean tables and any other deep pour applications.
EcoPoxy FlowCast® is a high performance, commercial grade epoxy that cures to a clear, UV resistant glass-like finish that resists scratching and yellowing.
FlowCast® Epoxy is also perfect for casting and see-through encapsulation, accentuating and magnifying the objects within. It can be poured up to 1.5 inches depending on volume and cures to a water-like appearance.
FlowCast® is a 100%-solids, two-component epoxy formulated for a long gel time. It has low exothermic heat buildup and cures to a crystal-clear solid that resists stress cracking.
FlowCast® Casting Epoxy is not recommended for thin applications or coating, use UVPoxy Clear Coating Epoxy instead for this kind of application.
FlowCast® kits contain 2 parts resin and 1 part hardener, for instance 6 L kit contains 4 L resin with 2 L hardener.
FlowCast® Casting Epoxy is similar to Liquid Plastic 2:1 in most usability aspects but it has higher bio-content and vastly improved resistance to crystallization. FlowCast® Casting Epoxy features a lower viscosity, allowing more air bubbles to escape during curing, as well as allowing it to soak deeper into the wood for a stronger bond.
In a clean, dry container; combine (by volume) 2 parts resin with 1 part hardener, and mix thoroughly for 5 minutes. Add color pigments or metallic pigments as desired and mix until evenly disperesed.
Working area should be clean, dry, and free of dust and insects. FlowCast can be poured 6-38 mm thick (1/4" - 1.5") per layer. The chemical reaction of curing epoxy releases heat - For pours of 12L volume or more, multiple thinner layers/pours may be necessary to prevent overheating. Fans blowing across the curing epoxy are also strongly recommended to help dissipate heat.
