Indeed, Tung Oil does not contain any colorant to effectively protect against UV rays. As a result, the wood will quickly turn gray due to rain and sunlight exposure. While Tung Oil can be an interesting solution for interior surfaces for economical or ecological reasons, it is certainly not suitable for outdoor use. 

To remove this oil, you will need to use an exterior Wood Stain Remover and pressure washer, carefully following the product's instructions to get the best results. 

Next, you will need to sand the wood completely to open up the wood fibers and allow for good absorption of the new product. We recommend using the Pareo Zero emulsified colored oil from Prato-Verde or the Osmo colored Decking-Oil as alternatives to effectively protect your deck or patio.
