What is the difference between Wood Putty and Wood Filler?

Actually, these two products are frequently the same. Wood Putty is utilized for filling nail holes and small cracks. It is applied before sanding to fill and hide any small holes or visible cracks on the wood.

On the other hand, Wood Filler is essentially wood putty that has been thinned with a small quantity of water to enhance its ability to penetrate the wood pores. This allows for a closed-pore finish on open-grain wood types like oak, ash, mahogany, or walnut. Wood Fillers are available in various colors that mimic different wood species.
