Guitar Tone Finishes
Not really what they were intended for, but I’m using the guitar tone finishes on Woodturnings. This platter is Ash, roughly 11” diameter. The rim is Encore Brown and the interior Starcast Amber. The grain is accentuated by rubbing black shoe polish into it first. Really makes it ‘pop’. Finished with several coats of gloss Tone Finish clear lacquer. I am very impressed at how these sprays go on. Its better to do several light coats and build up to the desired colour. I love the finished gloss look. It’s flawless. Please wear a respirator when using them though.
