I’m interested in a topcoat recommendation for finishing oak stairs after I used General Finishes water base glazes and wood stain to changes the color of existing finished stairs.

If so, are you planning on stripping it off before applying new finishing?

No, I was hoping not to have to strip the stairs.

Unfortunately we do not sell products that will adhere properly to existing finishes with out sanding or stripping.
