storage of Pareo Zero -metal can ok? shelf life?

I noticed both the 1 and 4 gal sized containers of Pareo Zero are plastic. Can surplus Pareo Zero colorless finish for wooden decks and sidings be stored in an air tight metal 1 gal can? What is the shelf life of stored finish?

Hi,

To store any surplus of water-based products such as the Pareo Zero, it is best to use the smallest plastic or glass container possible. Never metal containers.

Properly stored Pareo Zero should have an approximate shelf life of 2 years.
