I am a small scale cabinet maker working mostly with pine, hard maple and oak. My typical finishing method for hard woods is to progressive sand up to 220 grit then apply 2-3 coats of Tung oil reduced 50%, sanding with 4-0 steel wool between coats. When dry, (48-72 hrs) I apply 1 or more coats of paste wax. Unless requested, I try to maintain the natural colour of the wood I am using. Can you suggest any other or better finishing methods.

Hi,

Happy New Years!

We would suggest taking a look at the Odies Brand waxes. This may be just what you are lookoing for.

Kind Regards,
