Hi Ardec team,

I have a lot of interior pine trim to finish - doors, casings for doors and windows, baseboards. I’d like to lighten the pine slightly or at least keep it from yellowing over time. What could you recommend? I was considering the Osmo wood wax (birch), and do I need an additional finish coat like the Osmo Polyx-oil over that for trim?

Thank you,
Marc

Hi,

If you are looking to retain the natural color of your wood, we would suggest looking at the Osmo UV-Protection Oil - 410 - Clear without biocides as it protects againsts harmful UV Rays.

Hope this helps,

Thank you for the reply, Marilyn. Since this is interior trim so mostly indirect sunlight inside, I was also wondering about using Polyx-Oil 3051 Raw? That seems to also have a slight whitening pigment for UV protection as well.

Yes that could also work.
