NOTE: INSTAGREY is not recommended for use on treated wood surfaces. The chemicals present in the treated wood create a protective barrier which prevents the product from working normally. Therefore, some color shift may occur, but will be very subtle.

How It Works

Tested by an independent external laboratory, INSTAGREY has been proven to have a highly superior resistance and durability than the average, commercial wood colouring products. How it works is simple and efficient:

Mix the contents of the pouches with water
(For desired effect) Apply the Booster
Apply a first coat of INSTAGREY on the wood
Let the surface dry
(For desired effect) Apply a second coat
Admire the finished result!

Why Use the Booster?

Depending on the type of wood you have selected, the results will vary because some are softwoods whereas others are hardwoods. The booster allows you to prime the surface for an Instant Barn Wood transformation. Its use is optional and will depend on the result that you are looking for.

The booster allows the greying of difficult to colour woods and enhance the resulting grey colour. Customers that wanted an enhanced grey colour have chosen to use it.

Why a Second Coat?

The application of a second coat is highly recommended in order to have achieve a complete saturation of the treatment on your wooden surface. Furthermore, it will deepen the colour of the grey as well as give it a more even, uniform distribution of colour on the treated surface of your project.

LIMITATIONS

The treated surface must be free of paint, varnish, stain or any other product. For best results, work on a slightly sanded, smooth, dry and dust-free surface.
Results may vary depending on the type of wood used.
INSTAGREY is effective only on wood. Bamboo is a grass, not a tree, so INSTAGREY treatment is not compatible.
Do not use on metal surfaces.
INSTAGREY is not recommended for treated wood surfaces. The chemicals used in treated wood form a barrier preventing the product from achieving optimal results. There, may be a slight discolouration.
INSTAGREY does not contain UV protection. Colour may change over time depending on exposure.
