Application : The Ultra Penetrating Stain can be applied with a cotton rag, paintbrush or a spray gun. To obtain an uniform coloration, it’s important to apply the stain avoiding to pass twice on the same area. Once dry, a second coat can be applied if needed.
Let dry for 1 to 2 hours between coats of stain or before applying a finish.
Finishing : It’s possible to cover the stain with natural of colored waxes, oils, water based lacquers or acrylics varnished.
To create a nice deeper effect (3d) it’s possible to wash the stained wood with some alcohol. For the use of shellac as finish, it’s important to seal the surface using a boiled linseed oil, Tung oil or danish oil because the alcohol contained in the shellac could dissolve the stain and creates washing effects.
Drying time : 1 to 2 hours between coats.
Caution : Extremely flammable. Wear protective glasses and gloves, work in a well ventilated area.
