- Sand the surface until the desired finish has been achieved. It is recommended sanding the floor with 100 grit sandpaper. Varnished floor need to be sanded down to bare wood.
- Wet the floor with water and let it dry completely. Do not use sealer if the floor is to be stained.
- Shake thoroughly before applying.
- Pour a small amount of stain on a sponge and rub in the direction of the wood grain. Wipe any excess with a soft clean cloth.
- Allow 6 to 8 hours before recoating with a SamaN top coat.
Once the stain has been applied, you will notice that it gets lighter in colo, that's when you know it's dry and ready to be coated. The application of top coats will bring it back to its original color.
Note: it is advisable to try the stain out on an area that is not visible to check the desired color and effect. Remember that the final color will be determined in part by the natural color of the wood which will vary from one species to another.
