We have stripped layers of paint, old varnish and some stain off wood trim in our dining room. The trim is over 100 years old so not sure what type of stain was used and we don't know what type of wood, not oak we are sure of that. The wood now has an uneven colour due to old stain. We would like to make it more uniform and we were wondering if your oxalic acid product would be suitable and if it would be safe to use indoors.
Thank you

Hi,
Thanks for contacting Ardec!

Oxalic acid will not solve the issue. The only way to make it uniform is sanding.

If you were able to remove the moulding, then you would be able stripping everything off. You would then sand, stain and apply the finishing product.

Kind Regards,

Thank you very much for your reply. Was trying to do this without further sanding as there is rounded detailing in baseboard that is not apparent in photos (plus plaster walls would get pretty damaged in trim removal)! I appreciate your honest and very quick response. Thanks again.
