Hi I’m currently building live edge benches with flow cast epoxy. I was wondering what osmo product to use to enhance the colour of the wood that will not stain clothing when people sit on them.
Thanks Andy

Hi Andy,

The first question to ask is : Are the benches for interior or exterior use? If you're planning on using them outside, I think our latest article on deck finishing could probably interest you. We discuss Osmo, Pareo and Broda products in the second half of the page, and all of them could be suitable for your project, depending on your tastes and budget. Here's the link to the article. https://ardec.ca/en/blog/9/wood-deck-patio-porch-veranda-siding-and-other-exterior-surfaces-restoratio#finishing

However, if it's for indoor use, Osmo Poly-X oil is what you'll be looking for: https://ardec.ca/en/p/523/polyx-oil?project=4. Uno and Secondo from Prato-Verde are also a very good alternative.

Finishing oils will not stain clothing once they have cured, on the condition that you have followed the manufacturer's application instructions carefully.

Furthermore, you probably know this already, but I'll write it here for anyone who might stumble on this post: Finishing oil will not penetrate epoxy, and thus cannot be used on this material.

Happy finishing, and send us a few pictures of the results once you're done, we're always happy to see our customer's projects!
