Can is use my sprayer for applying this product. I am using a Graco Magnum X5 Sprayer and using a CAN311 spray tip. The tip provides for capability for Stain and Sealers, and Semi-transparent stains at a fan width of 6" (15cm). The sprayer is certainly capable, but I wondered how the SamaN product will work? I am planning to cover approximately 5000-10,000 linear feet of 1 x 6 interior pine, directly from the mill.
I used the Saman varnish on some furniture I built for my living room. I used my compressor and sprayer for all of it and it came out beautifully. Because it's water based, cleanup was nice and simple. The thing that has surprised me about the Saman water based varnish is how tough it is. A coffee table, 2 end tables and an entertainment center are all covered with it, and after two years there's still not a scratch. I would highly recommend both the product itself, and spraying as the form of application.
