Pure (Clear) vs. Natural Colour
The Pure variety contains no colouring pigments while Natural contains creamy white/yellowish pigments. Although Pure contains no pigments, Linseed Oil (the base ingredient in RMC Oil Plus 2C) has a colour that slightly enhances/darkens wood compared to its raw state. Although Pure is the most popular colour in the Rubio Monocoat range, if the goal is to keep the colour of your wood in its raw state, you should incorporate just enough pigments in order to counter the darkening effect of any wood finishing oil. In order to ensure the desired effect, it is strongly recommended to carry out a colour test beforehand or to contact our technical service (you must know the wood species and also provide us with photographs beforehand).
