Mohawk Stringed Instrument Lacquer replaces the H. Behlen Stringed Instrument Lacquer. Specifically as a high quality finish for thin, flexible tone-woods such as those used on stringed instruments, made to withstand the expansion and contraction that is characteristic in the construction of stringed instruments.

The E-Z Vinyl® Sealer: is also flexible by nature. Therefore, it is the only sealer that should be used under Stringed Instrument Lacquer. This combination yields great sound and empowers luthiers to finish their handiwork with confidence.

Directions for use

Seal with H. Behlen Vinyl Sealer Aerosol. Shake well for one minute after agitator ball rattles. Apply full wet coats with overlapping strokes. Clean Spray buttons. Dry at least 1 hour. Repeat application and dry cycle up to 3 times on one day. Dry overnight. Scuff sand with 320 grit sandpaper. Repeat until 9-12 coats are applied. Wait at least 1 week after application. Rub as desired.
