Preparation:
Prepare the surface by sanding with a grain suitable for the project.
Remove all dust, solvent and oil from the surface that will be treated.
Proprime can be lightly colored with Mixol Tinting Paste to create a pastel color (max. 10%)
Proprime can be mixed with 2.5% Procat Crosslinker to increase the hardness of the lower layers as well as adhesion when applied to surfaces that are difficult to finish.
To prevent the bleeding of certain wood species, it is possible to add to your mixture 2.5% Procat Crosslinker. This addition reduces the drying time and increases the resistance to migration of certain minerals present in the wood.
Application:
Stir well.
Spray using a HVLP system, conventional, airless / air assist or air turbine. Consult the manufacturer's recommendations for configuring the parameters according to the viscosity of the coating and the intended use. Let each layer dry at room temperature for at least 35 to 45 minutes. Sand each layer to 320 grit to remove any surface defects.
Apply at least 2 coats to obtain a smooth effect. The number of layers required will vary depending on the type of wood used.
After last sanding, dust off and wipe a soft cloth before applying a Polywhite top coat or other compatible product.
