Hi, can you recommend the proper workflow and products for sealing and painting MDF cabinets? Also, which product is better: Mohawk pre-cat lacquer or EM6500? I wiill be using Fuji Mini-Mite 4, so which spray tip would you recommend? Thank you in advance!

Hi,

The Mohawk Pre-Cat and the Emtech EM6500 are remarkably similar products. Not really one better than the other. Both are very good products.

However, we would like to suggest the Ardec line of products. These products can save on time. They are specially designed for use with a spray gun system, which you have, leaving you with a superior quality finish just like a professional!

The Ardec Proprime Pigmented Sanding Sealer in white with the Ardec ProCat Crosslinker for better resistance and finishing with the Ardec Polywhite-Pigmented Polyurethane.

The type of spray gun you have will determine which needle is required for the material being used. Fuji has a quick reference sheet to help with that.

Hope that we were able to help!
