Preparation:
- All surfaces to be finished must be clean, dry and free of excess contamination.
- Sand the surface using a 220 grit sandpaper.
- Remove dust with a water-damped, lint-free cloth. Do not use oil / wax tack clothes.
- If the surface to be finished has a grain filler, glaze or solvent-based stain applied to it, ensure that these products are compatible with the EM2000wvx.
- Mix varnish gently, then strain through a medium-mesh paint filter before using. Allow the strained varnish to settle before using.
- Can be fortified with 2 to 5% of CL100 Cross-Linker
Application:
- Using a spray gun, poly-bristle brush ou varnish roller, apply 1 to 3 coats of EM2000wvx diluted with 10 % of distilled water to act as a sealer coat. Let dry for a minimum of 1h30 to 2h or when the sealer coat gently powders when sanded without clogging the sandpaper.
- Apply many coats of EM2000wvx as is or diluted with 5 % of distilled water. Let dry for a minimum of 1 hour between each coats. Sand between every layers using a 400-600 grit sandpaper to remove imperfections.
- Let the surface dry in a warm and dry environment. Complete chemical cure takes place after 150 hours.
Use only in well ventilated areas. Avoid inhaling spray mist. Wear a NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator during spray applications.
