I just recently purchased a can of Oslo Polyx-oil and Pareo Secondo to try out on a few furniture projects. The first test will be refinishing a dining table top that will see a lot of hard use (spills, etc.) from a young family. Is one of these hardwax oil products better suited for this application than the other in your experience? Do you recommend any change in the number of coats for this application.

Thanks
Chad

Hello Chad,

Secondo is excellent for tabletops finishing. A minimum of three coats is required to obtain great protection. We have been recommending this product for over 10 years.

Osmo Polyx-Oil is also very good, it is easy to apply and offers good protection just like Secondo. There is also Osmo Top Oil which is recommended by Osmo for tabletops and countertops.
