Hi, I am considering using flour paint on my rough sawn pine exterior siding, but it currently has mold or mildew with a blackish appearance. Do you know how I should treat the wood to get rid of the mildew before painting? And will flour paint prevent mold or mildew in the future?

Also, has anyone used caulk with their flour paint and if so, what kind?

Thanks!

Hi,

The wood Cleaner and Brightener by Prato-Verde will help with cleaning the wood.

Yes, Flour paint does have additives to help protect against mold and mildew.

Sorry, I do not have any information on it being used with caulking.

Hope this helps!
