I'm currently using a 10mm roller and getting pretty spotty fill. It wants to pick back up onto the roller more than anything. Brushing didn't fair much better. Any tips on roller/brush application? Or choices of rollers?
Applied over 2 coats of BIN shellac. MDF and plywood both exhibit this issue.
Not really sure why this is happening. A 10mm roller is the right choice. We recommend using a micro fibre roller such as the Tradition Microfibre Roller by Nour.
If using a paint brush we suggest any paint brush that does not have natural bristles.
Thats what is required 2 coats of the primer over the BIN. Make sure the BIN is completely dry before applying the HFS5000.
Thanks Marilyn for confirming the nap and brush. I ended up adding 20% water (as per TargetCoatings site) and it lays down better, allowing back brushing with a foam brush. Environment temperature is about 21-22deg and RH50% so that probably had something to do with it. Work time is still very short so I might end up using the retarder. Thank you.
